When we bought Green River Cabins — nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Campobello, SC — in 2006, we brought with us a wealth of knowledge on RV and cabin manufacturing.
GEORGE PERKINS, PMP serves as the Plant Manager, Green River Log Cabins. George is a seasoned Senior Operations Manager. He is a degreed engineer and a certified Project Management Professional.
George served throughout the world for years as a Site Manager, Senior Construction Manager and Program Manager – Operations associated with multiple U.S Government contracts. He has over a decade of experience as a General Manager, Sales Engineer, and Procurement Manager within the Modular and Manufactured Housing Industry.
George is not shy to share that he earned the title and served as an Officer of United States Marines for a dozen years. He is a combat decorated veteran of Operation Desert Storm and participated in expeditionary operations in Lebanon.
George and his bride, Myrna, have been married since 1982. They claim the honor of parents and grandparents; they have two married daughters and one grandson.
Tim Porter, EIT
ENGINEERING AND QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER
Tim holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, an associate’s degree in mechanical drafting, as well as an associate of science degree. Prior to entering the engineering field, he owned his own contracting business for about 13 years. He is well-versed in residential construction practices and building codes. Tim moved to our area in 1991 from Ft. Lauderdale, FL, where he grew-up. Here he met his wife, and they have been happily married since 1995. They have one son.
Todd Garland DIRECTOR OF SALES/ BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Todd joined Green River Cabins with a real estate development and finance background. Todd has spent the last 15 years working for a land development /real estate auction firm. He also holds an active real estate license in two states and has been part of numerous multi-million dollar land development transactions.
It’s rewarding to work for a company that’s builds a high quality, affordable, log cabin. We really do love working with our customers and want them to have a fun, stress free, buying experience. We really strive to make it an easy process so you can focus on enjoying your cabin. We are currently working on several new cabin floor plans that we are excited to offer in the coming months.
Julie and Dean purchased Green River Cabins in 2006 and relocated to the Upstate SC area. She has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Meredith College and 20+ years of experience in marketing research, accounting and financial management. In her free time Julie enjoys travelling with Dean, their two girls and family dog.
Cindy has joined the Green River Cabins team as the accounting/office manager with over 30 years experience in the accounting field. She has worked about 85% of that time in the manufacturing environment. She loves to work with wood, so it was an easy decision for her to join the GRC team with the smell of sawdust in the air and the high customer satisfaction. She is originally from Michigan, had recently moved to Florida and now has relocated to the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains that have the ‘wow’ factor every time she sees them.
